The Albany Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Schenectady Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Schenectady likes a good challenge.
Even though Christian Brothers Academy scored an imposing 68 points on Friday, Albany still came out on top. Albany walked away with a 77-68 victory over Christian Brothers Academy. The win was all the more spectacular given Albany's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Christian Brothers Academy is ranked 70th).
Meanwhile, even though Troy scored an imposing 78 points on Friday, Schenectady still came out on top. Schenectady secured a 82-78 W over Troy.
Albany's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Schenectady, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
Albany beat Schenectady 80-70 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Albany since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
