Gettysburg couldn't beat Shippensburg on Saturday even though they stacked six runs on them in the first inning. The Warriors came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 23-7. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Brie Shorb was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sierra Shepherd, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Gettysburg's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Shippensburg, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gettysburg will welcome Central Dauphin East at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shippensburg, they will host Greencastle-Antrim at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Greyhounds will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
