The Triangle Math & Science Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Woods Charter Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Triangle Math & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
Triangle Math & Science struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Friday (Chatham Charter was 26% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Triangle Math & Science ended up on the wrong side of a tough 61-41 walloping at the hands of Chatham Charter. Triangle Math & Science has not had much luck with Chatham Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Leanna Nohs, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She hasn't dropped below 17 points for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Samrita Sriram, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woods Charter strolled past Ascend Leadership with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 39-25.
Triangle Math & Science's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Woods Charter, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
Everything came up roses for Triangle Math & Science against Woods Charter when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 67-27 victory. With Triangle Math & Science ahead 33-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
