Basketball Game Preview: Drew Dragons vs. Jewish Community Wolves

The Drew Dragons will take on the Jewish Community Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Drew is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Drew was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 72-66 to The Bay School.

Despite the loss, Drew had strong showings from Nicholas Ordonez-Reyes, who went 9 for 14 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points and four steals, and Kian Chan, who posted 22 points and five assists. The game was Chan's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Jewish Community had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 1-0 photo finish over Pescadero back in December of 2024. The one-point effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win got Jewish Community back to even at 4-4. As for Drew, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything came up roses for Drew against Jewish Community when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 68-30 victory. Will Drew repeat their success, or does Jewish Community have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
