Spanish River is 0-3 against American Heritage since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday.  On the hitting side, Spanish River let  Jesse Chimenti and  Moshe Presberg loose on the outfield. Chimenti  scored a  run while going 2-for-5, while  Presberg  scored two  runs while going 3-for-6.
 Meanwhile, American Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat Dr. Joaquin Garcia on Tuesday and fell  4-2. American Heritage has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 American Heritage also got a good showing from  Brady Snow, who   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Snow has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, American Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Evan Fernandez, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, American Heritage  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 15  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dr. Joaquin Garcia only tossed five.
 Spanish River's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-6. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs per game. As for American Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
