Brillion and Two Rivers are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Lions will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brillion has three straight wins, Two Rivers has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Brillion beats Two Rivers with eight runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Lions blew past Manitowoc Lutheran 8-1 on Friday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Grace Krueger was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jocelyn Tamm, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Amaya Brooks, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Two Rivers had taken Chilton down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Raiders took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly three runs.
Anna Klein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Two Rivers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Arnold, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Brillion's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Two Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
