The Timber Lake Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Timber Lake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matches.
Even though Harding County scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Timber Lake still came out on top. Timber Lake took their matchup against Harding County 67-56. The victory was just what Timber Lake needed coming off of a 83-60 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. The game between them and Winner wasn't particularly close, with Cheyenne-Eagle Butte falling 64-46.
Timber Lake has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Timber Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 80-78. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
