Westborough is 8-2 against Fitchburg since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Westborough Rangers will head out on the road to challenge the Fitchburg Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Westborough has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 514 points over their last eight contests.
On Thursday, Westborough earned a 61-48 victory over Shepherd Hill Regional.
Meanwhile, even though Burncoat scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Fitchburg still came out on top. Fitchburg took their game against Burncoat 70-63.
Westborough pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Fitchburg, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Westborough beat Fitchburg 66-56 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westborough since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
