After three games on the road, Kinsley is heading back home. They will take on the Otis-Bison Cougars at TBD on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Kinsley was the victim of a tough 36-12 defeat at the hands of the Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, Kinsley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Timberwolves are ranked 124th).
Meanwhile, Otis-Bison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 46-16 defeat at the hands of Ashland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Otis-Bison has scored all season.
Kinsley dropped their record down to 5-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.6 points per game. As for Otis-Bison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Kinsley came up short against the Cougars in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 53-44. Will Kinsley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
