Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Raymond/South Bend's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Raymond/South Bend unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to the Forks Spartans 58-54. The Ravens were probably out for revenge after losing 45-41 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Raymond/South Bend still got an impressive performance from Kassie Koski, who posted 29 points. Koski's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ava Pine-Isaksen, who had nine points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Raymond/South Bend smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Raymond/South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Forks, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Raymond/South Bend will square off against North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Raymond/South Bend is facing North Beach at the right time seeing as North Beach is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Forks, they will challenge Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Onalaska will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Forks surely won't give up without a fight.
