The Prairie Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Mark Morris Monarchs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Prairie had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Kelso on Thursday. The Falcons' pitcher stepped up to hand the Hilanders a 9-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Mackenzie Moore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlee Porter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Kellie Cady also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Mark Morris put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past R.A. Long 15-0.
Paisley Fraidenburg was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Shyanne Sellers, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base.
Mark Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .417 or higher in three consecutive games.
Prairie pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mark Morris, their record is now 19-0.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Prairie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Mark Morris struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Prairie skirted past Mark Morris 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
