The Green Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Northwest Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Green was able to grind out a solid win over Manchester, taking the game 57-50. The victory was just what Green needed coming off of a 62-33 loss in their prior matchup.
Abbie Knapp continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Green's points. Another player making a difference was Matti Hayslip, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Northwest came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down West Union 43-29.
Green's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.
Green took a serious blow against Northwest when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 55-28. Can Green avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
