Volleyball Recap: Philip Takes a Loss

Philip lost against Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Scotties fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

When it comes to explaining why Philip lost, don't look at Taylor O'Connell. Despite the final result, she had 32 digs and three aces. O'Connell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Karlie Eisenbraun also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Philip has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame], they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Philip wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lakota Tech on the 27th. As for Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame], they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Edgemont on the 27th.
