Volleyball Recap: Miami Country Day's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Don Soffer Aventura on Thursday, Miami Country Day came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Florida Christian Patriots on Friday, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Miami Country Day was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Florida Christian work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Miami Country Day lost, don't look at Sasha Blasky. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two aces. Blasky is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Miami Country Day fell to 2-1. As for Florida Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Miami Country Day has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Downtown Doral on the 3rd. As for Florida Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Riviera Prep on the 2nd.
