Victor Valley Christian has struggled against Academy of Careers & Exploration recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Academy of Careers & Exploration's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Marshall, who scored 27 points along with four steals. Marshall is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayden Rego, who scored 23 points along with four steals.
Victor Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Victor Valley Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Excelsior Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Excelsior Charter will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Academy of Careers & Exploration and de Toledo will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
