After flying high against Jal last Friday, Wink came back down to earth. The Wink Wildcats took a hard 63-48 fall against the Lubbock Christian Eagles on Monday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Adelynn Thompson and Aizlyn Dewberry certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Thompson went 7 for 16 on her way to 19 points, while Dewberry dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Dewberry is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played.

Wink's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lubbock Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wink won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Van Horn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lubbock Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th.
