The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vallejo, who took down 202nd ranked American Canyon, 33-28. Anthony Budil ran for 118 yards in the win.
Ryan Bohnet and Chris Seisay provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fairfield. The connection went for 64 yards, the longest such play in Solano County this season.
Benicia's dynamic duo of Bohnet and James Hyde-Jr. proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bohnet threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns and Hyde-Jr. had 88 yards receiving. Jared Clemons helped Benicia's passing attack out by catching two balls for 75 yards.
Jomon Dotson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 192 yards on 16 carries as American Canyon beat Fairfield. Robert Wilkes also contributed to the rushing game with 63 yards on the ground.
Benicia's Bohnet and Hyde-Jr. have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bohnet has thrown for 1487 yards this season, while Hyde-Jr., a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 25 catches for 467 yards. Dotson from Ian MacMillan's team leads the league in rushing with 1189 yards.
A big matchup in Solano County this week will be when American Canyon takes on Vanden. At the moment, American Canyon is in second, while the Vikings are in fourth.
The Apaches moved up to 736 from 859 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 33-28 win over American Canyon helped Vallejo improve its standing.
