There's no place like home for the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Maryvale Prep 69-29 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Our Lady of Mount Carmel to victory were Amya Goodsell and Caryne Nelson. Goodsell dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Nelson almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Washington, who scored 10 points.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Maryvale Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
