Joe Salinas was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Salinas wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ivan Phelps, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
As for Tolar, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
