It was a good run, but the Discovery Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winder-Barrow. Discovery has not had much luck with Winder-Barrow recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Discovery's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jade Jones, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Kaylon Jackson who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The game was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points.
Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Winder-Barrow, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
Discovery will head out on the road to face off against Parkview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Discovery in Georgia (Parkview is ranked 164th, while Discovery is ranked 350th). As for Winder-Barrow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Flowery Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flowery Branch is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
