Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) 35-16 after a solid game from
Jesse Brown, who rushed for four touchdowns.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Brown in the second quarter, the Broncos led 14-10 at the half.
Brookwood grew its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Brown.
The Longhorns came in surrendering 16.7 points per game this season. Coming into the game the Snellville school had allowed 19.9 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding Lambert right around its season average of 15.4 points scored per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Lambert, which notched a 33-14 victory over West Forsyth in its previous outing. The loss ended Lambert's two-game winning streak.
