2A-1 Region I District 3 recap September 24, 2013
Wall added to the longest winning streak in 2A-1 Region I District 3 this week by beating Sweetwater, 42-28. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Hawks.
Early scaled the state rankings by moving to 767 from 892 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Longhorns climbed the ranks as a result of besting Ballinger 31-15.
Kevin Revell was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 128 yards on 14 carries as Grape Creek fell to Ozona.
Hector Montero put up the best numbers in passing as Ingram Moore defeated St. Anthony. He finished with 9 completions for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. Montero's favorite target this week was Bryson Barnet, who caught 3 passes for 67 yards.
Aly was the best wideout in 2A-1 Region I District 3 this week as the Eagles fell to the Lions. Aly racked up 6 receptions for 70 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Miles Michel. The Ingram Moore star has 9 catches for 281 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Early takes on the Warriors. At the moment, Kent Hawthorne's team is in third, while Ingram Moore is in second.
Brady fell to Comanche 26-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
