Rye Cove is 9-1 against Twin Springs since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rye Cove 2.5, Twin Springs 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Rye Cove took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Thomas Walker get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kenzie Hood was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Sara Byrd was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rheagan Waldon, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Twin Springs entered their tilt with Eastside on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Spartans. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.
The result came thanks to Makenzie Gillenwater's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayde Tomlinson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Twin Springs' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rye Cove, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rye Cove has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .569. However, it's not like Twin Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rye Cove came up short against Twin Springs in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 5-0. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
