After losing to Davie the last time they met, West Rowan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The West Rowan Falcons took down the Davie War Eagles 25-8 on Monday.

West Rowan's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Israel Ford, Trenton Gains, and Lucas Watts picked up one apiece. Watts didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another thorn in Davie's side was Kevin Toomer, who picked up two sacks, made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.
The win got West Rowan back to even at 1-1. As for Davie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Rowan will square off against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Davie, they will venture away from home to square off against North Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Davie focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Monday.
