Hersey put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders 10-2. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Hersey got a great performance from Jack Goergen as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Goergen a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Chuck Meister was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Diego Garcia, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Hersey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quincy Notre Dame only posted an OBP of .345.

Hersey's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Quincy Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Hersey will venture away from home to take on Sacred Heart-Griffin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they will welcome Palmyra at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
