After both having extra time off, the Riverton Silverwolves and the Syracuse Titans will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Thursday, Riverton didn't have quite enough to beat San Juan and fell 3-2.
Riverton started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Riverton had strong showings from Annie Runolfson, who had ten digs and two aces, and Sofia Gonzalez, who had eight assists and four digs. Runolfson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Bryn Nielsen also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Meanwhile, Syracuse got the win against Davis on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Darts: they've now won four in a row.
Syracuse's got stronger as the match went on, holding Davis to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-17.
Riverton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. As for Syracuse, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
Riverton suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Syracuse when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can the Silverwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
