Merrimack Valley had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 12-46 punch to the gut against Stark on Saturday. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Merrimack Valley off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Stark a 1-0 record.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Merrimack Valley will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Belmont-Gilford at 2:00 PM. Stark are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Plymouth next week at 2:00 PM.
