The Cinnaminson Pirates's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Penns Grove Red Devils at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Saturday.
Last Thursday, Cinnaminson didn't have too much trouble with Pemberton at home as they won 64-48. Given Cinnaminson's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Pemberton is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Penns Grove scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Pennsville Memorial by a score of 75-65.
Penns Grove found their leader in underclassman Ka'Ron Ceaser, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ceaser has scored all season. Giomar Conrad was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cinnaminson pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Penns Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
