With a playoff game on the line, the Norman Tigers rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Broken Arrow out 21-18. The victory was just what Norman needed coming off of a 49-18 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Alexander, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown. Ryder Murphy did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Norman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Broken Arrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Norman will square off against Bixby at TBD on Friday. Bixby knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Norman likes a good challenge. Broken Arrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
