West has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Eastmoor Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastmoor Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West, who comes in off a win.
Even though West has not done well against Marion-Franklin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West walked away with a 59-52 victory over Marion-Franklin.
Meanwhile, Eastmoor Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 71-48 walloping at the hands of South. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Eastmoor Academy has suffered against South since January 17, 2020.
West's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Eastmoor Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
West didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Eastmoor Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-60 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Eastmoor Academy's James Nowell, who scored 18 points.
