Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Tri-City Christian Academy

Tri-City Christian Academy had won three straight games and Romeo Salcido did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors secured a 60-55 W over the Academy with Community Partners Lions thanks in part to Salcido, who went 8 for 10 en route to 22 points and four steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Miller, who posted two points and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Academy with Community Partners still got an impressive performance from Romario Anderson, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Jayden Chatman was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Tri-City Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for Academy with Community Partners, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

Tri-City Christian Academy will challenge James Madison Preparatory School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Academy with Community Partners has already played their next game, a 67-41 victory against Ajo on the 30th.
