The SA Roosevelt Rough Riders''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They strolled past Clark with points to spare, taking the game 36-21. The win was just what SA Roosevelt needed coming off of a 42-19 defeat in their prior contest.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lawrence Ford, who picked up 148 receiving yards and a touchdown. Armon Gardner also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
SA Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
SA Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Reagan at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Reagan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully SA Roosevelt likes a good challenge. As for Clark, they will be playing at home against Brandeis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
