Hitchcock-Tulare posted their closest win since November 21, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Britton-Hecla Braves. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Hitchcock-Tulare had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Rebecca Huizenga paced Hitchcock-Tulare's offense, picking up 12 kills. Huizenga got some help from Gracyn Bixler and her 20 assists. Olivia Knox controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Hitchcock-Tulare's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Britton-Hecla, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
