On Saturday, Cape Fear Academy ended up a good deal behind Providence Day and lost 44-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cape Fear Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Cape Fear Academy still got an impressive performance from Domas Undzenas, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Thomas Watkins was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cape Fear Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season. As for Providence Day, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Fear Academy will take on Wayne Country Day at TBD on Tuesday. Wayne Country Day will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Providence Day and Charlotte Latin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Charlotte Latin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Providence Day is ranked 26th).
