De Pere has gone 8-2 against Manitowoc Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Redbirds will venture away from home to take on the Ships at 4:30 p.m. De Pere is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
De Pere's last matchup with Stevens Point could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Redbirds came up short against the Panthers, falling 16-6.
Julianne Bradford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Robinett, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Manitowoc Lincoln, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past Sheboygan South 14-0 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Ships in their matchups with the Redwings: they've now won nine in a row.
Sam Raymaker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Raymaker was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Manitowoc Lincoln let Chloe Schroeder and Taylor Peterson run wild. Schroeder got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Peterson went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Schroeder a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Allison Seidl, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Manitowoc Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
De Pere's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
De Pere took their win against Manitowoc Lincoln when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redbirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
