Football Recap: ED White Piles Up the Points Against Englewood

ED White strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 74-0 win over the Englewood Rams. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Commanders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Rams are ranked 394th).

King Boylston went supernova, throwing for 273 yards and five TDs on only 13 passes. Those 273 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Nick Roberson did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 147 receiving yards.

ED White didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Englewood to a completion percentage of just 45.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Jayden Perry and Damarion Rowe, who each logged one passes deflected. ED White hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.64 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

ED White didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jacquari Parks, Kevin Grant, and Rajon Riley picked up one apiece. Parks is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. ED White got some further help from Johnny Duckett: he picked up three sacks and made six total tackles (6.0 for loss).

ED White's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Englewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ED White will square off against Parker at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 969 yards in their previous games. As for Englewood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th.
