Lampeter-Strasburg is a perfect 3-0 against Manheim Township since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pioneers will host the Blue Streaks at 4:15 p.m. Lampeter-Strasburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Lampeter-Strasburg made easy work of Conestoga Valley and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Paige Baxter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Natalie Hill was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Alaina Brenneman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Lampeter-Strasburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conestoga Valley struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Manheim Township suffered their closest loss since April 17, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Penn Manor by a score of 9-7.
Lampeter-Strasburg is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Manheim Township, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lampeter-Strasburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Manheim Township struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Lampeter-Strasburg's way against Manheim Township in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Lampeter-Strasburg made off with an 8-1 victory. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Blue Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
