The Eastmark Firebirds stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Combs 70-13 at home. The victory was nothing new for Eastmark as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Riley Farnstrom continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with six steals and five assists. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella LaFountain, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Eastmark has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Combs, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Eastmark will head out on the road to challenge Arizona College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arizona College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Eastmark is ranked 43rd). As for Combs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
