Polk County's loss came despite strong showings from Aaron Jackson and Gunnar Alm. Jackson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Alm scored 26 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Lawson Carter was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Polk County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Burns, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polk County will play host again and welcome Chase, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chase is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Burns, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bessemer City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bessemer City is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
