Willis lost a heartbreaker the last time they played New Caney, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Willis Wildkats never let the New Caney Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Wildkats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Sydney Prihoda was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hadley Lebow, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Willis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. New Caney's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willis will head out to take on Conroe at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Caney, they will venture away from home to face off against The Woodlands at 6:15 p.m. on March 18th.
