With the playoffs underway, it shouldn't be a shocker to learn that this has been a helter-skelter week in the power rankings. A special shoutout goes to West Plains's junior Brayden Lidgard, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
West Plains's 61 - 0 win over Central last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Brayden Lidgard. Lidgard earned five touchdowns and 211 yards rushing the ball. That performance made Lidgard one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Liberty and Park Hill, 7th and 16th in the power rankings, respectively. Liberty didn't have too many spare points, but it still walked away with a 20 - 14 win. The victory boosted it a satisfying eight spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Rockhurst (3rd in the power rankings) and Lee's Summit West (2nd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Lee's Summit West and Rockhurst can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
