Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Incarnate Word Academy). They breezed by the John Paul II Guardians to the tune of 86-49 on Tuesday. With the Angels ahead 52-23 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

When it comes to explaining why John Paul II lost, don't look at Dj Miller. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 11 en route to 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Miller's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Krug, who posted four points.

The win made it two in a row for Incarnate Word Academy and bumps their season record up to 15-12. As for John Paul II, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Incarnate Word Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Incarnate Word Academy likes a good challenge. As for John Paul II, they will venture away from home to face off against Geneva on Friday.
