It was a good run, but the Milton Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 33-19 fall against Braintree. Milton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Braintree apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
James Curry was his usual excellent self, rushing for 204 yards and two touchdowns for Braintree. Curry has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Caleb Parsons-gomes was in the mix too, providing Braintree with two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Braintree's defense and their six sacks. Milton's QB won't forget Nick Tutkus anytime soon given Tutkus sacked him twice.
Milton bumped their record down to 8-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Braintree, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Milton will be playing in front of their home fans against Walpole at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walpole has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 329 points over their last eight games. Braintree does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
