The Pitman Pride will square off against the Rio Americano Raiders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pitman will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
If Modesto wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pitman, they should've done a better job of containing Izabella Ziencina. The Pride put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Ziencina, who had six digs and five aces. She has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last seven times she's played.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pitman was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-13.

Everything went Pitman's way against Rio Americano in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Pitman made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pride since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
