The GEO Next Generation Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 46-30 bruising from Indiana Math & Science Academy North. The result was an unpleasant reminder to GEO Next Generation of the 75-74 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2020.
Indiana Math & Science Academy North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyven Smith, who scored 15 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Oliver, who scored 14 points.
GEO Next Generation has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
GEO Next Generation's road trip will continue as they head out to face MTI School of Knowledge at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. MTI School of Knowledge is on a three-game streak of home losses, GEO Next Generation a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Indiana Math & Science Academy North will take on Indianapolis Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Indianapolis Washington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Indiana Math & Science Academy North in Indiana (Indianapolis Washington is ranked 149th, while Indiana Math & Science Academy North is ranked 421st).
