The Waterford Ravens will be playing at home against the Rowland Hall Winged Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Thursday, Waterford was beaten by the Eagles 94-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Waterford in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Rowland Hall's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 66-16 loss at the hands of Draper APA. While losing is never fun, Rowland Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Eagles are ranked 37th).
Waterford dropped their record down to 10-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Rowland Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Waterford strolled past the Winged Lions in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 42-25. Will Waterford repeat their success, or do the Winged Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
