Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr. Delivers Electric Performance Vs River Bluff
Irmo picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr.. Brand Jr. was dynamite, rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 120 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Those 210 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
River Bluff had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Brand Jr. it was a similar story. Brand Jr. threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Gators duked it out back in September of 2023.

Sadly, Aaron Griffin posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead River Bluff over Irmo on Friday. Griffin rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Griffin could be in store for another big game when he takes on Chapin on Friday. Griffin picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

Sadly, Tanner Short posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Chapin over Lexington on Friday. Short picked up two sacks and made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Short might have his next game, a home matchup with River Bluff, circled on his calendar. When Short last faced the Gators back in October of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Maurice Anderson and Co. Win 14th in a Row
Maurice Anderson's big game helped extend Dutch Fork's winning streak to 14 on Friday. Anderson wasn't messing around, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. The contest was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
