This season hasn't been kind to the Village Academy Tigers, who are still winless after their 22nd match. They took a serious blow against Sheridan Hills Christian on Friday, falling 77-36. Village Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.
Sheridan Hills Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Seay led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. Elias Feliz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Village Academy dropped their record down to 0-22 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Village Academy and the Blazers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Boca Raton Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they will square off against the Knights at TBD on Tuesday.
