The Combs Coyotes have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Arizona College Prep 57-52. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Combs of the 59-50 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Combs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Johnathon Byaus, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Byaus has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamren Dubose, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.
