Mary Mcgovern posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
